Swedish company Elektron Music Machines was founded in 1998 to support the release of the Sidstation, a music synthesizer based on the sound chip of the Commodore 64 home computer.
Because of the uniqueness of the product, combined with the emerging popularity of the internet, the Sidstation garnered attention for Elekton all over the world.
In 2001, the next product was revealed - the Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1. The Machinedrum was an extremely competent digital drum machine, featuring ground-breaking solutions in both user interface design and sound generation techniques.
The Machinedrum proved to be an incredibly well executed instrument, so well that it still remains in production today, albeit in a considerably evolved form. Elektron followed the Machinedrum with several other popular products including the Monomachine, Octotrack and Analog Four.
At Store DJ we understand Elektron. We know what makes these great hardware units stand out from the crowd. Visit us to see and hear for yourself.
